Spring

Spring is the season when nature comes to life. Many look forward to the months of March, April and May when the days get longer and the temperatures warmer. In Switzerland, there are many destinations that you can visit in the spring. To see the cherry blossoms in their full glory, it’s best to go to the region of northwestern Switzerland or the Zug region.

Spring Time

Just as beautiful as cherry trees, are blossoming apple trees. In particular, the canton of Thurgau in eastern Switzerland is known for its many orchards. But the Valais and the Lake Geneva region are also important growing regions. At Lake Constance, there are numerous smaller and larger hiking trails where you can marvel at the apple blossoms on foot.

Visiting lakes, rivers and waterfalls is also worthwhile in spring. Waterfalls often have extra water in spring due to the melting of snow in the mountains. There can also be heavier downpours in spring, which makes the waterfalls even more impressive.
