This 3 day trip will take you through parts of Eastern Switzerland, the Zurich Oberland and along the Lake of Zurich. We will visit the places Fischingen, Rapperswil, Grüningen, Uster.
The town of Fischingen is famous for the Fischingen Monastery. The Benedictine monastery Fischingen was founded in 1138 by the bishop of Constance Ulrich II as an episcopal own monastery. It is located on the upper reaches of the Murg River in the canton of Thurgau in the municipality of Fischingen in Switzerland. The monastery was intended to provide shelter and refuge for pilgrims on their way from Constance to Einsiedeln.
Rapperswil is located on the eastern shore of Lake of Zurich and is a popular destination because of its location on the lake, the old town and Knies Kinderzoo. The lake dam to Pfäffikon SZ begins in Rapperswil. Rapperswil Castle, built on a rocky spur reaching far into Lake Zurich between 1220 and 1230, is surrounded by water on three sides and was thus well protected for centuries. Visible from afar with its high towers, it dominates the townscape of the old town of Rapperswil below.
Botanical Garden, Grüningen
On a hill left behind by the Linth glacier after the last ice age some 60,000 years ago, a well-tended garden has been thriving for over 60 years. Visit this place of inspiration and experience the fascinating variety of plants.
Uster is located on the Lake Greifensee and is the third largest city in the canton of Zurich with over 36,000 inhabitants. Along with Wetzikon, it forms one of the two centers of the Zurich Oberland.

We will pick you up at the meeting point at the agreed time.
Afterwards, we will drive to the hikers’ parking lot in our comfortable minivan. During the drive we stop at local farm stores. Upon our arrival, we will begin our guided hike to the Brandenfelshöhle cave to the summit of Hüttchopf or Schnebelhorn. You can expect a varied nature, a mixture of forests, waterfalls, caves and peaks. The hiking time is about 3-4 hours. On the way we will have a picnic or barbecue at the open fire. In the afternoon we will drive to Fischingen Monastery. We will visit the monastery and visit the Pilgrim monastery brewery and taste the exclusive beer. Afterwards we will drive to your accommodation and dinner will be served in a selected restaurant.
After breakfast we will drive to Rapperswil. There we will visit Rapperswil Castle and the beautiful old town. Depending on the weather and our wishes we will walk along the wooden bridge Rapperswil on the lake dam, visit Knies children’s zoo, take a boat trip on Lake of Zurich to the islands Lützelau, Ufenau. Have lunch at a local restaurant in Rapperswil or on the islands. Later in the afternoon, head to the Bächlihof Adventure Farm, a great place to relax and experience great things. There is a big farm store with lots of delicious food and depending on the season different exhibitions and decorations. After these great experiences we drive towards the accommodation where you can relax a bit and then have dinner.
After a restful night, you will be picked up after breakfast and the trip goes to Grüningen. We will visit the botanical garden and the castle. Depending on the weather we visit the Indian Land Museum, the indoor swimming pool Buchholz in Uster, one of the largest indoor swimming pools in Switzerland, take a boat trip on the Pfäffiker- or Greifensee, discover the Kemptnertobel with a small waterfall. After these exciting experiences we will drive you back to your desired location.
